Class 7A Final Fours

Again from the time period of 2011-2021

Class 7A

2011: First Coast, Lakeland, Manatee (c), Dwyer

2012: Lincoln, Osceola, St. Thomas Aquinas (c), Manatee (2)

2013: Niceville, Osceola (2), Dwyer (c) (2), East Lake

2014: Osceola (3), Niceville (2), St. Thomas Aquinas (c) (2), East Lake (2)

2015: Viera, Columbia, St. Thomas Aquinas (c) (3), Braden River

2016: Plant, Robert E. Lee, St. Thomas Aquinas (c) (4), Venice

2017: Bartram Trail, Plant (2), Venice (c) (2), St. Thomas Aquinas (5)

2018: Lakeland (c) (2), Edgewater, St. Thomas Aquinas (6), Venice (3)

2019: Edgewater (2), Armwood, St. Thomas Aquinas (c) (7), Venice (4)

2020: Edgewater (3), Niceville (3), St. Thomas Aquinas (c) (8), Bloomingdale

2021: Tampa Bay Tech, Lake Gibson, St. Thomas Aquinas (c) (9), Buchholz

Yep. This classification has belonged to St. Thomas Aquinas for a while. Seven titles in 11 years and not much room for anyone else to breathe. Lakeland had a good squad in 2018 and Venice fought their way past Aquinas in 2017. There were a lot of teams on here with 2-3 year runs. East Lake had some good squads. Manatee played for a state title in 2009, won in 2011 and probably had a better squad in 2012.

Edgewater had a two-year run at the end of the decade and probably gave Aquinas as tough of a challenge as anyone in those 2019 and 2020 championship games. Not too much to see here overall. Aquinas was the big dog in this class.
