2025 FTBL Preview: The All-Florida HS Team (Power 4 Edition)

By this point most of you know the rules, but things changed a little bit. Instead of putting out a team of 46 (23 on each side of the ball), we've just got 24 players -- 12 on offense and 12 on defense. 

The Group of Five All-Florida HS Team MIGHT be here in a few days. There's a damn good chance I'll be adding FCS players to it because many of the good G5 kids last season have transferred into the power four. 

Anyway, the offense is 11 personnel with an extra RB and the defene is a 4-2-5 with a extra linebacker. Basically sticking to my formations over the past couple years. 

OFFENSE

Quarterback: Rocco Becht, R-Jr., 6-1, 210, Iowa State (Wiregrass Ranch); 3,606 yards, 26 TD, 9 INT, 8 Rush TDs

Running Back: Isaac Brown, So., 5-9, 190, Louisville (Homestead); 165 carries, 1,173 yards, 11 TDs; 152 receiving yards.

Running Back: Desmond Reid, Sr., 5-8, 175, Pitt (Miramar); 183 carries, 962 yards, 5 rush TDs; 52 catches, 579 yards, 4 TDs; punt return TD and fifth in AP-yards per game (154.9).

Wide Receiver: Jeremiah Smith, So., 6-3, 215, Ohio State (Chaminade-Madonna); 76 receptions, 1,315 yards, 15 touchdowns. 2024 1st team All-American, 2024 Big Ten Freshman of the Year

Wide Receiver: Jayce Brown, Jr., 6-0, 179, Kansas State (Choctawhatrchee); 47 catches, 823 yards, 5 TDs

Slot Receiver: Malik Rutherford, R-Sr., 5-9, 170, Georgia Tech (Champagnat Catholic); 62 catches, 702 yard, 3 TDS

Tight End: Chamon Metayer, R-Sr., 6-4, 250, Arizona State (North Miami); 32 catches, 306 yards, 5 TDs

Offensive Tackle: Blake Steen, R-Jr., 6-6, 340, Mississippi State (St. Thomas Aquinas); 17 starts at RT for Virginia, 736 snaps and gave up just two sacks. Transferred after 2024 season.

Interior: Joshua Braun, Gr., 6-6, 342, Kentucky (Suwannee); 24 starts in two seasons at Arkansas. Also played at Florida.

Interior: Kobe Baynes, R-Sr. 6-4. 315. Kansas (Sandalwood); 12 starts at guard last season.

Interior: Trevor Mayberry, Gr., 6-3, 325, Mississippi State (Jesuit); 26 starts at LG and LT for Stanford and Penn. Did not play in 2024 and subsequently transferred after the season.

Ofeensive Tackle: Rasheed Miller, R-Sr., 6-7, 310, Louisville (Lake Wales); Right Tackle starter before injury after six games.
